Regarding Characters:

  • When you wish to create a new wolf you must create a new account with the new character's name. Please understand that this will help keep everything simple and clean.
  • The limit is 3 characters total. You may have more if you think you can handle it, but before that’s official you might want to contact a Staff member.
  • When picking a name for your character, don't just pick the first thing that comes to your mind. Either come up with your own, original name or search words in different languages on Google, there are many possibilities. Names such as Bob, Jerry, or Chelsea are not acceptable.

Regarding Breeds:

  • This is a realistic wolf roleplay site. Realism is the key here.
  • There will be no horns, necklaces, wings, or magical powers. That pushes the limit and gets way out of hand. Therefore you can have no special abilities or shiny accessories or the ability to fly.
  • As for eye colors, I won't be too strict about it. But I will; however, ban any shade of violet, pink, silver, bronze, or other crazy unnatural colors.

Regarding Realism:

  • Use real body languages and vocals that wolves use in the real world. Your wolf cannot grab a mouse with its paws liek you do with a pencil or walk on two legs. That's not right, nor is it realistic.
  • Although it is impossible for wolves to speak English (or any other languages), we permit speaking here. It makes it easier to role-play fore you won’t have to guess what the translation of every growl and whimper is.
  • We use ranks just like any other wolf role-play site and wolves in the wild. Lower ranking wolves must respect their superiors and everyone must listen to their alphas. Failure to comply will result in an IC (In Character) fight or a death.

Regarding Spelling/Grammar/Punctuation:

  • This is a literate to advanced site.
  • Punctuation is a big problem for any site. We, for the most part, do not tolerate poor punctuation. Even beginners should know how to properly punctuate. Punctuation is a skill learned in lower school, and if you don’t use it when writing up a post, well… we would hate to see what your school essays look like. Please, please, please use correct punctuation in IC (In Character) AND OOC (Out Of Character) on this site. Other sites may tolerate poor punctuation, but we don't.
  • When roleplaying, please do not use SMS language. It tends to get annoying, and will get out of control. This will not be tolerated one bit. So please use real words and sentences, or your post will be deleted.
  • Spelling is another common problem for role-play sites. If you are not a confident speller, write your posts in a program like Word before you post them. Proboards also has a spell-check feature, though it can be rather slow. A few spelling mistakes here and there won’t get you in trouble. If all of your posts are constantly filled with errors and you do nothing to fix them, however, you will be warned.

Regarding Mating/Birthing:

  • Before your wolf gets pregnant, you must, must, must PM the Head Staff account (TM) and ask permission. If you fail to do so, the litter will consist of stillborns, or the mother will miscarry.
  • If your mother-to-be is in a pack, it is a very wise decision to ask the Alphas for their permission. If not, the Alpha has every right to run out both of the parents or kill the puppies when they are born. They ultimately decide if they want pups in their pack.
  • The number of pups will usually depend on the rank of your wolf. Higher ranks will usually have a larger litter, while lower ranks will usually have less. This is because of the pack eating order. Since higher ranks eat first, they will generally have enough food to accommodate a larger litter. Lower ranks, which eat later, will not always have the nutrients to supply to a large litter.
  • Pregnant loners will also have very small litters.
  • There is to be no raping! This rule is enforced for good reasons; we don't want puppies running the site and the thought of it is just unecessary.
  • Pups will go up for adoption during the winter and be born in spring. The Head Staff will give a maximum number of pups for the litter. However, only the number adopted will be born. For example, if Isis's litter has a maximum of four, yet only two get adopted, Isis will only give birth to two live pups. It can be a disappointment, but even if other litters are being hit hard by a lot of adopters, we can not make people apply for certain litters if they do not want to.
  • The Head Staff will decide who gets the adopted puppy. This way the mother of the litter will have puppies of different personality and physical appearance, rather than have puppies who are all the same in every way. that would be boring, would it not?

Regarding Fighting:

  • We prefer that before your wolf gets into a physical fight, that you and the other wolf's player decide who will win. If the battle stretches on for too long, the Head Staff can go on and decide who is going to win.
  • Do not have your wolf inflicting but taking no damage. Most attacks require some amount of damage on both wolves. The extent of the injuries may vary, however, because an inexperienced yearling paired with an experienced five year old would obviously not end in equally distributed injuries.
  • You cannot kill without permission. End of story.
  • In rank battles, if neither wolf seems to be winning, the Alpha can decide who gets the rank.
  • Just to make this fair and clear for everyone, the Alpha position cannot be challenged for. Period.

Regarding Killing/Character Death:

  • There are several instances where characters can be killed without permission from the player. For instance, if a puppy makes a fully grown wolf angry enough, through disrespect or verbal attacks, the Alpha has every right to do away with the nuisance. Obviously, the puppy cannot outrun, or outfight the alpha. Same goes for an Omega angering an Alpha; the alpha has every right to abuse the Omega wolf, possibly even kill it with the permission fo the Omega's roleplayer.
  • This also pertains to one wolf getting in the middle of a very angry group of wolves. This one wolf cannot attack, or outrun the wolves.
  • This rule is mainly because some roleplayers put their characters in positions where the other person's wolf should and does have every right to kill the character, but the 'no permission, no kill' policy holds them back.
In short, do not put your characters in a position where they could be killed.
    HOWEVER...
To avoid people taking unfair advantage of this rule, an Admin must be consulted in the case of killing. You should always give a character room to "correct their wrongs" and we will take no unfair killing.
  • By unfair killing, we mean, if a Galena subordinate made an open topic in the unclaimed, and a few people decided to have four rogue wolves ironically show up and just decide they want to do away with the wolf, the act would be unjustified.

Regarding Posting:

  • Do not G-mod or powerplay. This is one of the biggest problems players have when in a fighting thread. Your wolf cannot dodge every attack that is thrown at him or her. Wolves are not invincible. The limit to dodges in a row is 3, no more. Also, not every attack you throw at your opponent is going to hit on contact. Make it miss a few times and get more drama out of the fight. It makes things more fun for both players, as well as anyone reading the thread.
  • Also when role-playing, type at least 2 paragraphs. More would be greatly appreciated. If you can't type up more than a paragraph, then elaborate. Describe what's around your wolf and what your wolf's feelings are, that should surely bump up a paragraph or two. If you cannot preform this simple task, then you are not ready to join Eternal Serenity.
  • Try to be literate. Do not continue to use your wolf's name every time you talk about it during role-play. For example: "Fang's fur bristled in the wind. Then Fang lunged for prey as it scuttled through the underbrush." That isn't being very literate. This, however, is: "Fang's silver pelt swayed gently in the morning breeze as he pelted through the forest. His golden eyes stared at a fat rabbit before he delivered the lunge for the kill." That's what we're looking for.

These requirements will change at random times, so you'd best be on the lookout for more updates. I will change/add more requirements when I think up some more.
